Music from "Crow: Stairway to Heaven"
The series featured music from hot bands of the time, spanning from alternative rock, catchy melodic
pop and spooky metal music to R&B. Music was a natural part of the series as Eric Draven was a musician
himself and worked at the Blackout, a club with a stage where some of the bands performed as themselves.
During the end credits, each episode had a castmember announce which bands had been featured in the
episode.
Several of the bands were also featured on the soundtrack of the movie "CROW: The Salvation".
Sadly, a soundtrack was never released to the public. Cast and crew and friends received one from
Bryce Zabel as a Christmas gift. It contained music from 6 different bands, the "made for the series
band" Hangman's Joke and the CSTH score written by Peter Manning Robinson.
Some of the songs seem to have been recorded specifically for the show - at least they were never
available on any album by the artists. Like for example the traditional "My Bonnie", performed by
Cherish Alexander of The Painkillers.
The links in the Avail column lead to the relevant album on Amazon.com - most of the albums have
soundclips. Not all tracks have been identified since only band names were mentioned on the show
and a cover shown.
Bands marked with a '*' performed onstage at the Blackout.
